Hey thanks!

Working at getting a gig at Common Grounds in the near future. They won't give me a show without an "audition" at open mic night. punks. I've played the Wrocklage, A1A, Lynaughs, Area 51, High on Rose... you know, all the cool old bars... can't get the time of day at a coffee shop. damnit!!

when i do get my show at Common Grounds, it'll be announced, and all tips will go toward the PMRP purchase.

hopefully March sometime.

The Vandermark 5, Free Jazz Classics Vols.1&2
Since they're going to be in Lexington this weekend, I wanted to get a bit fired up for it.

'i am trying to break your heart' by wilco wrote:I am an American aquarium drinker
I assassin down the avenue
I'm hiding out in the big city blinking
What was I thinking when I let go of you?

Let's forget about the tongue-tied lightning
Let's undress just like cross-eyed strangers
This is not a joke, so please stop smiling
What was I thinking when I said it didn't hurt?

I want to glide through those brown eyes dreaming
Take it from the inside, baby hold on tight
You were so right when you said that I've been drinking
What was I thinking when we said good night?

I want to hold you in the Bible-black predawn
You're quite a quiet domino, bury me now
Take off your Band-Aid because I don't believe in touchdowns
What was I thinking when I said hello?

I'd always thought that if I held you tightly
You'd always love me like you did back then
Then I fell asleep in the city kept blinking
What was I thinking when I let you back in?

I am trying to break your heart
I am trying to break your heart
But still I'd be lying if I said it wasn't easy
I am trying to break your heart

Disposable Dixie-cup drinking
I assassin down the avenue
I'm hiding out in the big city blinking
What was I thinking when I let go of you?
and great loves will one day have to part -smashing pumpkins

My wife and I got tons of "used" music from a co-worker of hers. I now have about 1200 songs on my computer. I don't know where to begin. I was just grabbing stuff that sounded good. I don't have enough time in the day to listen to it all. Which is good for me with my ultra short attention span.

Right now I'm listening to Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins' album Neck and Neck.

Have you heard Bluegrass101, Chris? Not too shabby. I'm liking Del McCourey too.
