actually I know alan and find him to be a rather good fellow. my only comment on this thread or topic would be { i don't know if this has been addresed before or not, as i have not read it in is entirety} the poll question is flawed in that you have 2 answers in which you can disagree with the president, one which calls him an imbecile. therefore you will get exactly the type of outcome you desire and cutting off any true meaningful dialoge or results ....bad science.

isn't that modern politics... I guess I'm spinning my agenda... also, I guess I should have mentioned that these results are not scientific.

skibum..I also know alan...between he and I, it is always friendly banter.

of course this poll is slanted....that was the point...the froth at the mouth of the rabid Bush haters had finally reach the boiling point, and the only way to justify ones hatred was to put up a skewed "poll"..I should know..I do it all the time.

don't worry friend...only 18 more months of this imbecile, then we get to elect a new imbecile.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

We'll see how people see him after the 600 page report about how the "imbecile" handled the Katrina disaster. This shit isn't just going to go away. I'm not saying I believe Brown's pass the buck testimony, but Bush definatly lied to the American public about when he knew the Levees broke. The best part is the report that is supposed to rip Bush a new asshole was written by members of his own party. Looks like there are some folks that don't want to go down with the ship.

He wasn't paying attention when they told him about the levees. He was busy planning how to invade Iran or shovel more money to his "faith based initiative."

I talked to a friend of mine the other day while he was driving through New Orleans. He said most of the city is still a wasteland.

What do you all think about Nagin asking France for assistance and getting it?

It seems like having Mardi Gras is hopefully going to bring money into the area. In the past I'm sure it was one of the biggest tourist spikes in the country.

Mardi Gras will go on this year. It is only 6 days long so it's going to be amazing. If I can't make it down there I'll be driving my car in the Looserville Mardi Gras "parade" on Frankfort Ave.

This year's MG will mean far more for the locals' spirits than for the economy. It's hard to explain how important Carnival is to the culture down there so I won't try. It's a party, commentary, art, music, food, dancing, and more rolled up into a two month celebration culminating in Mardi Gras day. The importance of MG happening is so important to the locals I doubt most would care if tourists came or not. Come to think of it MG without the tourists sounds like the best time ever. Tourists suck.
