TK, very good point.

Scin, size does not matter, it's the actions that are negative do speak loudly.

Unfortunately for people who do not think their actions through entirely before reacting, can have an adverse effect for the whole. Once again, same old story & debate, just a different forum.
Just genuinely disengenuous.

The guy was definitely an idiot for doing what he did because...well...who starts fires at National Parks but idiots? He was an even bigger idiot for having the self righteous attitude about it during his hearing and, obviously, he's going to pay the price for it. But should he lose his job over starting a fire on New Year's Eve in a NP? Probably not. Should he lose his job because of his cocky attitude about it? Probably yes. No one would've probably even heard about it if he wasn't so stupidly proud of what he did. And I really don't think his actions make climbers as a whole look bad. He just obviously has a small cock.

Looks like he got the axe. Here's a potrion of Climbing's statement:

Yesterday details of an incident and charges involving Climbing magazine editor Jonathan Thesenga and the National Park Service in Joshua Tree National Park first came to the attention of Climbing’s management team.

We immediately undertook action and conducted an internal investigation. Based on the results of those efforts, Climbing magazine this morning terminated Thesenga’s employment effective immediately. A successor will be named later.

I love the cheezy animated GIF at the top of the page! Who bothered to generate that?

Don't be surprised when the editor of Private Pilot magazine shows up at your door wearing moccasins (3 Days of the Condor reference). Be even less surprised when, as you are running out the back door, the editor of Vogue Knitting empties her Uzi clip into your back from the bushes. You asked for it by exposing their plot, particularly the Jerry Springer connection!
