why would bush be unpopular with climbers? as a group, aren't we as diverse as the general population? despite the general idea that climbers are dirtbags, check out the parking lot at miguel's on the weekend. take a look at the nice rides..I am guessing most people who climb are run of the mill working stiffs who have political ideologies all over the map.

people who post on here are hardly a microcosm of the general population. we are merely climbers who have way too much free time on our hands. in that instance, i can see how we'd vote predominately for kerry.

it urks me that we're at war, yet why the hell are we not bombing the piss out of these bastards, act of aggression there goes Tehran, next Damacus, next Indonesia, if these bastards want to die for allah help them out but do it at wholesale pricing not at the cost we're paying now, it either gets resolved or the problem goes away when no ones left to play, we had no issues with firebombing Germany and Japan in WW2, why the kidd gloves with this trash?

Hadn't really thought about it, but do you think that maybe the CIA or NSA or some other spying institution is monitoring this thread? You know we do not have privacy anymore, since theoretically any of us could be a terrorist.
I've had just about enough of this shit.

it would not surprise me if key words spark or tag a post or phone call, that would then and then perhaps initiate a look see by said agency

It really concerns me how many people feel that we should just "level the middle east and turn it into a parking lot with oil pumps." Those people have just as much right to exist on this earth as we do. Don't forget, we invaded the Iraqis. And if you think it was for humanitarian purposes...then see the above quote.

We generally like to hesitate until the opposition has doubled or tripled their property holdings. Actually, that usually isn't enough to do the trick, either. If I recall my world history correctly, Hitler had to declare war on us before we really took a personal interest in him. We actually stood up and declared war against Japan ourselves. Right after Pearl Harbor.

How about his lack of support for the EPA or mining regulations or... like that?

No. As "climbers" we're as white as or whiter than skiiers.

Do you think Phish fans aren't dirtbags? Trustafarians suck worse than drunk beggars. Trustafarians chase numbers and drive "nice rides" bought with Daddy's ill-gotten gains. Nice that a 20 year old can whip out daddy's credit card and have a massive trad rack in one fell swoop.

Bleh.

If I had more time on my hands I'd be at the Gorge right now...

(I've taken my break, so time to jump back in!) Gee-Dub is incompotent, but he is not an imbecile - he is a very skillful politician and was able to limp through Yale and Harvard (he'd be the smartest guy in town in a lot of small towns), but he has proven himself a miserable failure at making critical policy decisions both in business and as President. (He's certainly smarter than the suckers he scammed into voting for him.) The core of the 2000 campaign was to set an astoundingly low bar for himself and then slightly exceed expectations - don't be suckered in by his "texas dummy" act. The fucker wanted to be President of the United States of America, and he got what he wanted. It's the highest elected office in the country, shouldn't he be held to the highest standards?
