woah, y'all are prolific writers!
just in reading this thread:

1. doesn't steve do camera work for a local t.v. station? might he not be a good person to ask of the channel's to go through?

2. donation box in chicago climbing gym? there has been an expressed interest, a lot of those folks come down to the red, and i'll pay shipping... so we just need a contact there we can trust.
i don't know the gentleman who posted earlier about ideas. neuroshock seems to be an upstanding guy interested in this deal so he might be an option.

Hey Diane,

Yep, we want you to roll with it since it hits right in your talents. Bill mentioned a partner business plan he's already worked on but didn't get a chance to roll with, get in touch with him for sure.

The guy at UK I think was Rob Cardosi, Bill has been in contact with him so as well.

Thanks y'all, I'll kick you an update after we have the BOD meeting tomorrow.

When we purchase items such as t-shirts, print and supplies for local events we need to try and keep it local (Wolf/Powell). I think this will help relations with the larger business community in the area and could help with local press. There is a Red River Gorge Chamber of Commerce that has really never been involved in the climbing aspect of the area, would be nice to change that. Has anyone talked with Rick about some local newspaper articles? Every article is a "resume" builder for larger companies. Just a thought.

Rick is in touch with folks at the Wolfe County newspaper. I can talk to him about it and get some info.

good stuff matt and amy! i think that side is going to be pretty key.. jen sauer was telling me some higher-ups at lexmark are looking to dump some money into the land for mtb but want some sort of packet or informational brochure to look over. i'm going to try to come up with some stuff but if you could help me out with some other info (potential miles of trail, types, whatever else mtb'ers care about ;) ) that'd be awesome. hugh might be able to help out, too.
and great loves will one day have to part -smashing pumpkins

I've been talking to her about it, sent some info and maps but essentially kicked them to Tackett so they could walk the property.

I talked to Steve last night about some media coverage. He's ready to help:
Stay on me about some pub for the fundraising events. I'll try and put together a list of media outlets and contacts in the next couple of days.
