Oh! Also read a book called Preface for History by Gustavson which categorizes and discusses several social forces in history and also several misconceptions and false ideas about history.

I really believe it as well. I could give a list of freaky things that I have personally experienced that are all waaaayyyy too freaky to explain. There is definitely something after you die.
Something else I learned is that there are many skilled and safe belayers out there, which expanded my realm of climbing partners. For awhile, I couldn't let anyone belay me except Team Suck (and at that, only a few of them). They're still the most professional, but others come close.
Anticlimber: We've been trying just as hard to get rid of you too. But dont worry we won't give up. As for the climbing is fun even if it isn't "hard" don't bullshit yourself, don't make excuses for giving up, just admit it and embrace it. It's much easier that way

I'm intrigued.
How do you apply this to your experiences climbing?
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

This past year has had 2 moments for me that lead me to believe I'm not a lost cause yet.
...Any one else have distinct moments they'd like to share?

Observation re: subject line noted.
Please feel free to read more than a subject line.
