What I learned in 05
piggie, the k-street scandal's pervasiveness is due largely to the systemization of lobbying and money/contributions that has been integrated by the conservative party.
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I read a short world history and refreshed my memory on the big picture. I read a couple intro texts to philosophy and gathered at least a minimal understanding of the history of the various schools in philosophy. I read three introductory texts on literary theory, including Eagleton's well-known Literary Theory, and then a couple books of literary essays. From these I got a vague beginner's understanding of literary criticism.

i learned that climbing still is the greatest thing ever. and that i can have fun doing it even if its not "hard" i also discovered that i was there all along but just had it disguised with the bullshit i hate. i relearned that wanting someone else to do well more than anything makes the day that much better. i also learned that i have many friends who love me no matter what. i dont know what it's going to take to ditch you bastards but im almost out of ideas.
the two most important things i learned this year are as follows.
1) there are more important things then climbing, none so enjoyable though. it will always be a path to growth, denial, understanding, love, hate, acceptance, pain, joy, travel, and most importantly friendship. i have never met a better cast of folks with which i have had some wonderful times with. be it for just one day or ten days in a van at a bike rally. everyone has helped to shape me. so really its you all that have made me so screwed up. thanx for nuthin
2) i have learned that every moment of life is precious and that no matter what it can be taken swiftly and without warning. and that nothing is worth comprimising it or putting it off for the chance of a later day.
