here's an idea: DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR.

Yeah it's a pain in the ass, and yeah, it's not "fair" but it can't get stolen if it's not in your car.

Best solution is: ride with someone else and let it be their car that gets broken into.

Take the CD player out? Don't think so. Not really a reasonable option for me. The CDs are no big deal, of course. I can always make new copies of the original at home.

i just cover my car with a mix of yak urine and skunk spray. it smells so bad no theif will get near it...of course it makes picking up chicks kinda hard....

i'll probably get broken in after posting this.... i bought my ipod last year partly so i could dock it in my car and unplug it to take my music with me and thus avoin having lots of cd's in the car or packing a bulky cd wallet.
