After reading that incredible description, I think it's clear that the wrong person entered the route into the online guidebook. You need to hack in there somehow, JB, and do Shaggy the justice it deserves!

Amen JB! Shaggy is an epic adventure route. It brings the belayer in on the action as well. wear a helmet or play along and dodge the falling holds.

OH NO SikMonkey, Shaggy IS a great route. These rumors of moss and choss are just to keep the crowds at bay. Nothing worse than standing in line for an ultra classic route like Shaggy.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

I am happy to report that Shaggy has been brushed and it is a much better climb than it was before.
