Gym Review - Hester's in Louisville

Post by diggum »

From what I could tell from my first visit there last night, this is a fine little bouldering gym. Fun problems, good atmosphere. Could use a few more easy problems for us weaklings, but overall I would chose Hester's to Rocksport anyday.

Such a shame...Rocksport has all that space. It could be a great one.

Oh & Hester's was only 5 bucks.

Yea, I liked Hester's the one time we went. Cute little spot though their hours are weird on weekends so pre-warning.

hesters makes me proud because many of the people there are former students of mine. They do a very good job with the space that they have. I'm still a rocksport climber (when i climb indoors) though because i've been going there a long time and it's kinda like a home crag away from home crag.

Although very nice, Climb Time is a bit far.

DIRECTIONS
From Interstate 65 South past Gene Snyder take the Brooks Exit. Turn Left off the exit. At the Second Light Turn Left. Then we are 1 and ½ miles on your left hand side.

From Preston Highway turn onto Mudd Lane and follow Mudd Lane until it dead ends at Blue Lick Road. Turn Left onto Blue Lick Road and travel about one quarter mile. Hester's Fitness Center will be on the right at 4300 East Blue Lick Road.

I went to Hester's when I was at ASHA convention a few years ago. I liked it. Hey! I'll be there again in February or March. Wanna go, Diggie?
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
