Announcement: Temporary Route Closures in Muir
Rick's post doesn't seem at all out of line - he states the facts. I was present for some of the discussion r.e. these routes last saturday. There was no name-bashing - Rick just has the safety of climbers in mind and wanted to ensure that these all got fixed - he never slandered anyone, and certainly never accused anyone of stealing routes. And, if you re-read his post, he does in fact call your routes "spectacular" -
bryan i didn't read rick's post that way either.
although by both posts one can see that the poster's feelings have been hurt.
i just hope time heals and we can all get back to what it is about. climbing.

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

okay, bryan, I'll bite. Who would read Rick's post and think to go look at the guidebook and then actually notice that the same person bolted those routes and/or no other routes were closed and/or all of that bolter's routes were closed.
and after doing that you have to conclude that Rick has nothing better to do than reopen this issue that lead him to stop participating on RRC.com.
I don't know you, greg and I barely know Rick but I got to tell you it doesn't make sense to me.

I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.
