Me too.....

How 'bout the

Option A -- "it doesn't really matter what I think there are going to be dogs at the crag that are on leashes, off leases, well behaved, poorly behaved, ugly, cute, barking, snarling, poop-eating, stepping on my rope, asleep from playing, smelly, or maybe even big and fluffy and I'm gonna be pissy about it."

---OR---

Option B -- "it doesn't really matter what I think there are going to be dogs at the crag that are on leashes, off leases, well behaved, poorly behaved, ugly, cute, barking, snarling, poop-eating, stepping on my rope, asleep from playing, smelly, or maybe even big and fluffy and I'm just gonna deal with it."

Seriously, I'd think you can be way more productive worrying about things you might actually have a snowball's chance in hell of influencing instead of wasting brain space thinking about dogs that are gonna be at the crag.

I was at RRO during Rocktober, on the way in a rather big bull dog tried to take my leg off while tied to the porch. I have no problem believing I would have been bitten if he would not have been tied up. I did not provoke him, and he gave no warning untill I was within range. You know dogs(even the most loving)can still be unpredictable at anytime. I think dogs should be leashed, not so much for my safety but for the owners safety and liability. It's just another common sense thing

My last word forever on this subject is consideration. Most people don't want the dogs unleashed. Most people also don't want fanatical religious services at the crag as well, with big boom box Christian music either. I think the next time I'm bothered by an unleashed dog I'll break out my boom box and start playing "Moon River" by Henry Mancini at top volume. People would eventually ask me to turn the crap down.
I've had just about enough of this shit.

I woundn't have dogs anymore if I let them off the leash - whether at the Red or elsewhere. They would run off. One of my dogs - normally happy go lucky - gets aggressive when she is on the leash and other dogs approach her, so I prefer that other dogs be on leashes too. I rarely take my dogs to the crag - or myself lately -so I'm not all that wound up about the leash/no leash issue.
I'm an experienced woman; I've been around... well, alright, I might not've been around, but I've been... nearby.

i gotta say, i love dogs, but at the crag is not a good place for dogs to be running around, they can't climb anyway, leave em at home instead of tying em off to a tree and leaving them all day. and the next time i get bit for walking by, it's gonna get ugly. if you wanna spend time with your dog, don't climb a rock, dogs don't have hands

can we PLEASE have a big brawl over this subject. we can do it on a saturday night at miguels so more people can join in. old school rules(ie. no firearms or knives but brass knuckles are ok). and the dog people have to leash their dogs up for the fight, cause otherwise the non-dog people would be at a disadvantage. we will make sure the numbers are about even and then liquor up the participants with bourban and ale8. we will seperate the two groups(though they can scream obscenities wwf style at each other) and then throw some gas on the fire to signal the start. whatever group left standing will have the 'ethically correct' say in the matter from this point on out.

after the fight if anyone bitches about dogs or no dogs we can just tell them they had their chance to fight it out fair and square.

man I love big brawls...
