I hate that merrick has to keep explaining himself on this thread.
I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.

Hate's a very strong word, but I don't dig on.....

Weekends when I can't climb.
Mondays when I have to go to work.
Climbing days when I'm too sore or too weak or too hungover to climb very well.
The 2 hours of pain warming up and working through flamed tips so I can climb on Sunday.
Leaving perfect weather, perfect times, and perfect days at 3:30 cause I have to drive back to my fake life.

Access issues and the vast majority of climbers that have little knowledge or concern for such issues.

* People who litter - "pack in, pack out" includes cigarette butts!
* Taking a leak next to a climb I want to do
* Those goddamn deerflies
* People who leave their rope up and walk away, then bitch when you pull it down so you can do the climb they haven't been on for an hour
* Belayers that don't pay attention or get distracted by someone talking to them
* Beta you didn't want
* People who ignore the "No Trespassing" and "No Parking" signs, or do stupid things that screw up access for the rest of us

I don't mind, Danny, as long as I get to watch you climb!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
