i thought you all would appreciate this

About a week ago my mother told me that if I experienced a color and a scent to let her know (she is beginning raiki training and using her daughters as guinea pigs). Anyway so I talked to her today to talk about the color/scent thing and told her the color was orangy-yellow and the scent was the smell of the gorge when I pulled my harness out of my pack to go to the gym. She asked me to describe further and I told her the color was associated with when I was trying to get out of bed after a long night of drinking and it was tough because my abs hurt from climbing. The earthy smell of the gorge reminded me of confidence, strength, good friends and every other wonderful feeling the Red inspires. Anyway, she told me that she has been meditating for me to feel confidence and the belief that being me is good enough. The color she "sent" me was amber and the scent was "earthy." It comes from my third chakra - about feeling like I am able and that I can do anything. My mom is pretty cool. Anyway, it made me miss my friends in KY. Love, Pilar

We miss you as well, Pilar. Namaste.......
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

I don't know about all that hippy stuff but I know I love the smell of pulling my gear out of the pack before a climb. That and sitting on a ledge with a Winston after a cool pitch are my favorite perks in climbing.
