MEMORIAL WEEKEND = DERBYFEST 2003!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK we need to start getting serious about what kind of events we want to see this year. Keeping our goals in mind, we need to get creative as well as fun. So let's redirect this thread and lookf for some solutions.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE?
Also so far no one has stepped up and volunteered. Please let mek now ASAP if you are avaliable to participate. THis is very important to the success of the event! It was also help determine how many activiteis we can run.

Just genuinely disengenuous.
I gretchen I might be able to volunteer. Just let me know the times and what you need me for. Karen is having a wedding shower in cleveland on that sunday that I need to be at, so i can meet people that I haven't met yet. Friday and saturday I could possibly volunteer, but I also want to do some climbing, so I don't want to be tied up all day.

Yeah, I'd like to see some feedback on my previous post of events held by cavers at OTR. Since there seems to be a lot of interest in bizarre modes of dressing, this could be our twist on the sleeping bag contest - Contestants enter sleeping bag in street clothes, then contestants must undress and then get redressed in climbing clothes to include harness and climbing shoes while in the bag (possible double meaning intended). Whoever does this quickest wins. There would then be style prizes for best drag climbing outfit, best lycra outfit, best hip-hop outfit, etc.
"Be responsible for your actions and sensitive to the concerns of other visitors and land managers. ... Your reward is the opportunity to climb in one of the most beautiful areas in this part of the country." John H. Bronaugh
