your number is always divisible by 9 and the symbols for any number divisible by nine are always the same for each game

Eric, you are a genius. Here's a proof though.

Pick a and b to be two numbers from 1 to 9.
So, your two digit number is 10a + b
subtract the sum of the two: -a -b
= 9a

Thus, your answer will always be a multiple of 9. Ha!
