What's in your bug-out-bag?
Just curious, do any of you keep a bug-out-bag handy? If so, have you ever had to use it?
No chalkbag since 1995.
I have a bug-out bag. I will admit it. I store it in the basement next to my Hot Wheels collection. It has all the things in it I will need for my great escape but I can't tell any of you or it wouldn't be a secret. If I told you, you wouldn't be surprised when I finally do it.
but it's right between the Hot Wheels and the camping equipment. Just left of the stanky ass hockey equipment.
but its a secret, shhhhhhhhhhhh.

Considering that any time I leave the house (weekend climbing, several weeks out of the country), I'm packing in a hurry on my way out the door, I don't feel the need to have a pre-packed bug out bag. Maybe when the fascist hordes storm the blue states because we laughed our asses off at Bill O'Riley on the Daily Show (! !), the extra 60 seconds throwing random crap in a bag will be the difference of life and death for me.
By the way, what's '100 mph tape' - I have no idea, but it sounds cool and McGuyverish!

Bacon is meat candy.
That is what the military refers to it's olive drab colored Duct Tape.By the way, what's '100 mph tape'
helocopters in Vietnam were often coverd in this(bullet holes) and
GI's would say as they flew by real fast(100mph) that must be 100 mph
tape holding it together. So there you have it, I think it sounds better any
way, and I personally think it's stickier than civillian version, if that's possible?
