so.. anyone been on this since saturday?

such an innocent question with such dire consequences. i think, according to the thread, autumn is now laying in a heap at the base of a heavily graffitied wall and the forest service is marching down the road to shut down access across the gorge.. or maybe autumn is somewhere in the back of a tractor-trailer roaming the country. even before wes's post, i hadn't received that many pm's in a couple day span ever before.

anyway, the truth of the matter: saturday we got on autumn and, following, i forgot to clean the #3 and draw from the lower flake section. all weekend my friend commented on her missing draw. it wasn't until sunday night, going through gear, that i noticed the missing #3 and made the connection. instead of posting about free and easy booty gear on an easily accessible route, i thought i'd ask to find out if anyone had been on it. no one mentioned anything useful so i ran down there monday night, climbed it in the dark, saw it was gone, down climbed barefoot and blind after my headlamp burned out, and swung by miguel's to find out no one dropped it off.

anyway, if you have it or know who does, congrats on your new piece of booty. while i have my own feelings about booty gear and the like, enjoy it with (hopefully) guilt-free abandon. it's in great condition and is decently well traveled. while i'd hope you'd try to return it, i doubt that anyone would. that being said, i'd really appreciate it if you'd send the draw back. you could leave it at miguel's, too. i'd say that's a small price to pay: a draw for a free #3. and the draw was free in the first place. but hey, you decide..

now.. back to the wild and unfounded speculation that's infinitely more entertaining than my story..

ooooh! It's like that kinda creepy TV magician guy when he made the Statue of Liberty disappear on live TV! A virtual magic trick! uh - but without pictures in this case - which I guess is kinda harder...

That entire wall made a weird sound when we were on Hot September a few years back. It kind of sounded like the piece between Souders Crack and Rock Wars settled a miniscule amount.

That piece will come off there one day.It's sitting on choss. I just hope no one is under it when it does.
