There is not a separate trad category but several of the trad lines are on the list of routes to be scored. This includes Windy Corner but only to the first set of anchors. Sorry we aren't including the second pitch but our number one goals are to have a FUN and SAFE comp.
Most of the routes at the crag are included in the comp with 12 TR routes for the Novice/Intermediate and I think 10 pre-clipped routes. Since this is a total point comp it should be exciting both to see people pushing for the top points on their first try and then towards the end of the comp as people try to get as many routes as possible to build their points.
We could still use a couple of volunteers to help with the judging & scoring of the comp. We are scrounging for ropes & draws for the TR & pre-clipped routes also.

It used to be worse. After the route was first done I spent about an hour with a hammer knocking off loose small stuff. The day I sent it I knocked a big block off that hit a lower block knocking it off almost killing my belayer. Had we not been quick thinking professionals it could have been ugly!
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins,

Take a look at the postings in the online guide first next time buddy. I've definitly been on it. I'll give you it's not as hard as 11a unless you do the last move to the shelf before clipping the anchors, but that rock is shit until the top. You must have been on a Toprope if you thought that rock was bomber. I bet your gear wouldn't hold for the first 2/3 of that route if you took a leader fall. If you think I don't know what I'm talking about, look at my avatar - I'm the choss hunter, I climb all the shotty routes.ynp1 wrote:haas, really sketchy, Its neither??? have you done that climb, it's great and the pro is good also. the bottom looks a little shitty, but it is not that bad. its not really as hard as the grade, but it is super fun.
CaptinStatic - That's too bad you won't give anyone the chance to try the upper part of Windy Corner for points. You should let it be their option. I thought it was f*$%ing scary and didn't finish the top out. Maybe I'll have RRO put up a toprope for me, I know he likes the spice
