Slab at Torrent Falls?

Post by Captain Bad Beta »

I was at Torrent Falls a while back and remember a slab(ish) sport climb to the right of where the path (from the stairs) meets the wall. Nobody that I know seems to know the name of this climb (and people seem to think I am crazy for talking about it). I remember it being 5.8ish... maybe 5.9. Anybody know what it is called?

You're not crazy for talking about Cordelia or Dream of a Bee, you're crazy for having a vivid memory of a climb that doesn't exist?!?!

Cordelia & I didn't care for it much.

the route is okay...i used it for teaching how to clean anchors (back before rick put practice anchors up) when i had beginners with me. that shelf is large enough for me to be standing there as they did it.

Definitely a real life route. A friend of mine was leading that route last fall, foot slipped and slid/fell a few feet. Her left foot hit a really small ledge or something sticking out as the rope caught her. Broke her talus bone in her foot pretty bad.

The climb is fine. It's just bolted poorly. With that many bolts there should be no ledge fall potential.
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins,
