I totally agree Michelle. From someone who has banned himself more the once, sometimes a break it nice, but the real key is to just take away what you want to from this site. Tons of great stuff here, and very little choss overall. Esp. compared to any of the other climbing sites I have visited.

Maybe we should just disable the hidden user feature for users?

"soap opera" wasnt exactly the main point of my post. Does anyone else think that the name "St. Gregory's Lament" (lament: n 1: a cry of sorrow and grief; ex. "their pitiful laments could be heard throughout the ward")
is just as facetious and inappropriate as "I shot the sheriff"? Rick has been doing a very good job of taking the high ground with this issue but i do not think this is one of those times.

Since you asked. I agree, a neutral name would put an end to it. Either way it's just a name, call it what you want.

It is just a name that permanently and publicly ridicules a very well respected developer that (pissed off or not) has done a lot for Muir Valley. A random climber would not associate "I shot the sheriff" with Tim but Greg's name will be attached to this route in a negative way forever.

Since Rick did that why don't we have a contest to name the route?
Of course, if you have already climbed the route you would probably carry more weight.
Sionce I will not be able to climb 5.12 in this lifetime and I have never even seen a picture of this route I am therefore the least qualified to name this route, I suggest:" There are no big deals" 8)
I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.

I have huge respect for both Tim and Greg. I hate to see a friendship go south, especially for two guys who are thought to be close as brothers. A cool name for the route might be "Blood is Thicker than Water" or "Time Heals All".

At least I hope it does.
Can't we all just get along?

I saw this on another thread. How about "Gay Issues"?
