Someone could start a thread "mixed metaphors and other staements without meaning".
I once told a boss that he needed to take stronger action against an employee that was essentially a ghost employee or that employee would:
"milk that horse til it died".
I said it with such conviction that there was a pause before the very serious meeting erupted in humiliating laughter.
