Drinks high in sugar cause weight gain?

Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

Lemonade contains around the same amount of sugar as energy drinks and is also carbonated but it contains no caffeine unlike cola drinks.
What kind of lemonade are they drinking?

I think that when these obese, bastard children die of juvenile diabetes they should be deep fried and force fed to their spineless parents who couldn't say "No!" when their brats were rolling around kicking and screaming in the grocery store. When I was a lad in school, there were like 2 fat kids out of 200 skinnies, and I remember them both being spoiled snots. Now we gotta bunch of sumos waddling into kindergarten. I say fuck trying to instill good eating habits in the school lunch programs. Just feed the fat ones till they have all have a coronary, then we can spend taxpayers money on educating kids that will actually live past 30.

I hear you. Two years ago, I volunteered at Hoosier Heights to help the Girl Scouts climb. Out of 25 girls, only two or three were thin. They were also having pork rinds and sodas for lunch ...

I agree that spineless parents make fat kids but there are other factors. Nobody explains to these people that soft drinks are basicly liquid candy. People think they are quinching thirst but are actually filling themselves full of high fructose corn syrup and simultanously becoming more dehydrated. Lack of education has definatly contributed to the rise of the fatties. Morgan Spurlock does a great job address this, and the many other issues concerning fatties, in Supersize Me.

Dhoyne made the perfect statement there. Who doesn't know that sodas are NOT good for you? Please, that's half the beverage companies ad strategy towards kids. "Drink "Fat Bottom Cola", the crap you know you shouldn't drink!" Ooooo! it's bad...mommy I want some, gimme gimme!
