New to RRG- Trad help please

Post by lewis »

Howdy folks,
I'm heading up there this weekend and was hoping y'all could help out with a tick list. We are mainly interested in 5.10 to 5.11a/b trad routes. Any roof cracks in this range?

Since our time is limited to Sat and Sunday, do you think the best bet would be to hit the fortress? I have climbed at roadside a few times but it was all sport.

Thanks for your help!

what about Skybridge? No Return, The Underling, Doppler Effect, and Inhibitor sound right in the desired range. i've only been on 3 out of the 4, but they were all fun and quality climbing.

If you want roof cracks then fortress would be good. Thunder chicken and the battlement; plus hollywood blvd and afterburner. A full day for sure. Sky Bridge or Long wall would be another good choice.

I agree with Wes, Fortress has excellent roof cracks on the upper tier. Anything down FS 9b would be good too, except it's a looong walk or a quick bike ride

Sweet! Thanks for the quick replies. I'm pretty stoked to be climbing some trad up there. I have climbed a lot at Sunset and Twall in TN but never really steep trad before.
