Second the Bruise Bros. comment. Even has a fun little trad route to play with.
Have fun! Glad to hear you're getting your kids out.

8/26-27 Accident
Anyone have info on a fall last weekend?
Heard it was at Roadside and a belay issue. 80' and someone is in UK Med recovering.
Always looking at safety and would love details if anyone knows the info.

Thanks for posting! I always like things that make me refocus on safety.
Noticed that his leg hooked the rope during the fall. That's what made him flip.
Glad he didn't wack his noggin!

Just read it yesterday.
I had written one into unbelayvable a year ago about a girl who clipped direct to the anchor from her gear loop.
BUT THIS GUY WINS THE ALL TIME PRIZE!

Re: Buddy checks, a thing of the past?
I always do a double check of myself and the other person no matter what. It's such a simple thing to do that takes very little time. It's death/injury vs a few seconds to check someone. Though I had a friend who would get mad at me when I tried to check him. Told him if he wasn't willing to do a d...

Re: Lowering on anchors.
[quote=" And really the BEST way to clean an anchor is to ask the group that's going after you if you can use 2 of their draws and just swap them out at the anchor and lower from their gear. It's much faster and very easy. With the long lines and crowds this makes life easier for everyone.[/quo...
