Re: Ambulance at RS sat night.

I've an idea, though the brunt of the work would have to be done by select few. I've no idea on how financing could work. As many climbing videos as there are out there, I think one could be produced [by the few. e.g., Spencer, BigUP] that takes high profile climbers (I say that only because the mas...

Re: Question for the CC

Why are the board members not directly elected by climbers? This is a straight question that deserves a straight, simple, answer. Here it is - RRGCC Board members are not directly elected by climbers because the original founders of the RRGCC chose to use the "non-membership" model in set...

Re: Poop on trail at Phantasia

On Saturday, came across a pile of poop with a couple of rocks (insufficiently covering it) unburied by the ledge/tree behind Mailbox at Long Wall. ~3' from where the trail to the other routes (B3, etc) goes.

Re: This Friday and Saturday

I can't get down to the Red this weekend or I'd climb with Cathy. She's a laid back, fun, and safe climbing partner and I encourage someone else to step up!

Catholes ...Select an inconspicuous site where other people will be unlikely to walk or camp. ... If camping in the area for more than one night, or if camping with a large group, cathole sites should be widely dispersed. i think this is the crux of the problem. there are just too many climbers in ...

Dragons also have extend-able slings. I guess BD tried this back in the day, but they got some funny nylon-against-nylon friction, so they went with the dog bone-on-a-biner design. DMM solved the friction problem by threading the extend-able sling through two holes. If the gear takes a fall in eith...

maps?

The iTouch/iPhone guidebook app is cool 'n all (not that I own either device) but where did the links to the maps go? I thought those were useful.

I suppose I can wait until I get home and dig out my print copy, but the online ones were convenient.
