Re: Trail Maintenence and Power Tools

I extended the motherlode bridge last time. I've been planning on extending again. Just haven't had time. I'll try to do that in the next week or two unless someone else wants to do it.

Re: PDs at Lode

The obvious compromise is to put the good steel gear back up on the steep difficult to clean routes(resurrection left) and leave the worn old gear off.

Re: PDs at Lode

Wish I could have been there. Maintenance and sustainability are my two concerns for the permadraws. I'm tired of getting on routes and there being 50% or more of the gear being unsafe or at least hard on your rope. Once again! You can park at the top of the motherlode hill and walk in. Just like muir valley.

Re: The Road to Sore Heel

Considering that the parking lot was overflowing last weekend, I don't think it's keeping too many people out. Also you can park at the top of the hill and walk in. Same as going to Muir and walking in to the solarium.

Re: Climbing Gym

Here we go again indeed. New large gym opens and puts old small gym out of business. New large gym goes out of business because overhead was to high and was destined to failure. Back to climbing on woodies in garages. Deja vu?
