Re: Dam... Beavers

Gonna do some more removal soon, huh? Is the climbers coalition's stance "leave no trace... of beavers"?

Re: Gates closed and locked

Creek crossings, no signs, bush whacking... Gasp! It would almost be like being in the woods. You surely can't expect people to have to endure that!

Re: Legality of climbing in Kentucky?

People have been climbing at dismal since the days of star drives. The main chimney was climbed decades ago. The newest groups of folks to climb there regularly have had a relationship with the corp... They also weren't the kind of people to have meetups, "make a place public", or talk abo...

Re: Miller Fork

Im going to go out on a limb here and take a wild guess that the vast majority of the naysayers, aka fucktard whiney asses, were not at trail day, probably not been to many and overall just use the resources others spoon feed you. Congrats, you should pat yourself on the back, though stabbing yours...

Re: Miller Fork

My what a high horse you have, be careful not to fall. I've been to Cashiers Valley, does that make me too cool for the Red too? You're right. What I was implying was that anyone who has climbed in Cashiers is too cool for the red. That's why I took so long to type that and give voice to my thought...

Re: Miller Fork

ynp1 - Whereas I don't disagree with everything you have said in this forum, I do think this one was way off. I don't. Most of his post in this thread are at best condescending. The idea that anyone should thank any of these "developers" is horseshit. Everyone of those folks do new routes...

Re: Nice Outside Online arcticle on Muir Valley

I donate to Muir Valley every year in the hopes that it will stay open and the people that frequent it will not disperse into the rest of the area.

It seems so very fitting that the safety sheriff is such a big fan of the place...

Re: Rebolting Effort Details - Yank the Mank!

For a 10 bolt route with quick links on the anchors. I'm at about 120 bucks. 10 SS glue in bolts 4 quick links 1 tube a7 Drill bit Glue tip How much cheaper is it for you Howie. Most of my routes are ground up. How do you feel about hanging from a hook and waiting for epoxy to dry enough to climb a...

Re: Rebolting Effort Details - Yank the Mank!

Agree on this, which is why there will be a concerted push in the near future for community support of developers to promote the use of stainless bolts and hangers.... so I do not have any unrealistic expectations for people to pony up extra money for the longer-term reliability of the bolts they p...

Re: Rebolting Effort Details - Yank the Mank!

My argument isn't that stainless isn't better in the long run. It's that you have no right to ask anything of me in this little hobby we have unless you want to chip in on what I am doing. Agree on this, which is why there will be a concerted push in the near future for community support of develop...
