I climb for myself, I climb for fun, numbers don't matter. I climb because climbing is better than getting blown up in some foreign country. Also, your really not a "climber" until you climb more than a pitch or two at a time.

RRG climber wants to know who took the registery down...the more important question is who put it up in the first place. Do they own the rock? How did they decide the climb needed a registery after all these years? If you don't own the rock then maybe don't put up a registry in the first place and s...

I'm with Driskell here. Why wouldn't you try to keep an accident from happening? That is the real access issue. People get hurt bad and the fs and privater owners are much more cautious about what they let happen. Wes, who cares about the hardware? Are you serious? Everyone is inexperienced at one p...

I did it with a buddy, my wife and my dad and it wasn't too bad. They all got through the real tight spot but I just went out more towards the front of the wall (away from the middle) and it was easy and I had plenty of room. My buddy went stright through the real tight spot though and I couldn't fi...

I would just like to climb solid 11 in good style. That is all I ever really want to achieve. I have no desire to do anything super hard, but I really would like to feel comfortable walking up to a classic trad line and being able to relax on it and enjoy the scenery, movement, etc.

What school do you go to? Most colleges have a mountaineering club and you can borrow their gear for free. And hopefully you know you need a rope and a harness or else you probably don't have enough sense to get onto Roadside even though it is an easy climb. I hope you were kidding about that??? Goo...

I don't think roadside counts as multi-pitch since you can do it in one pitch easily. I always liked Diamond in the Crack. I just like that you are usually there by yourself.

Miguel is a great guy and I'm sure he needs to look out for the welfare of his livelyhood. I'm sure that some stuff I did in the past makes this type of stuff neccesary. I always just wanted to have fun but I definently wouldn't want someone like Miguel to get in trouble with the law and possibly lo...
