Makes sense to me, if you're a local and already know the area you don't need the quarterly guidebook just the online updates for the newest routes.

Re: Does This One Make It Five Guidebooks?

As long as this doesn't get in the way of releasing the annual spring, summer, fall, and late fall editions of the RRG South Guidebook I am all for it.

Re: Poverty and Rock Climbing

I liked the author's suggested price of $170 for a pair of shoes for a beginner. The author has no idea what he is talking about or is inflating numbers to try and prove his incorrect point...

Re: Poverty and Rock Climbing

Pretty condescending tone to the whole article. The author rips on climbers for not getting to know the locals yet brags that he "will consider the people that live in those homes as I drive past on the way to the crag". Wow, so big of him... Not to mention the home discussed WAS a huge me...

Re: Visitor from Canada

Fly into Cincinnati (2hrs), Louisville (2 hours) or Lexington (1hr) and rent a car especially if you want to check out distilleries, not much bus service or public transportation in that part of the country. The closest "town" would be Stanton which is like 15 minutes from the Red River Go...

Re: Motherlode Hill

Yep, motherload road on 10/10/16 seemed about as bad as I have ever seen it. Probably time to find a more permanent solution...

Re: Partner& some practical info - 20 october - 22 november

Miguel's is the best place to meet up with people and you will have no trouble finding partners that time of year. You could also try posting on here a week before your arrival. Guidebook I would say buy online before your arrival if you want to look through it or Miguel's gear shop will have copies...
