Trad is the best. Yeah,....it drains every green back out of your bank to do it. But it expands your ability to climb beyond just bolted lines. Plus it makes you think more than just clip'n and go'n. Do you really trust your placements? he he he

ethics question

I have a climbing ethics question that I was wondering how people would respond to. Lets say that you were out climbing a trad line and while you were on it you saw this shallow crack to the left. It looks like climbable variation of what you are on and you could get a first assent if you tried. But...

As much fun as sport is, it takes more balls to fall on a placement that you put in than a bolt. But thats just how this Trad Troll sees it.

Big South Fork

Hey there. I have read a few things on Big South Fork and the possibility of climbs there. I was just wondering if there is a guide book out for it now. Or if there isn’t, maybe there is a web page listing some of the climbs that have already been established in that area. I didn’t know what had bee...

Found chalk bag and stuck cam

I was out at the Red this weekend and found a black chalk bag at Fortress wall by Bedtime for Bonzo. It’s at Miguel's if anyone is looking for it. Also, someone severely over cammed a placement on the first pitch on Bedtime as well. Not sure why it is so far back in the crack because there was lots ...

Just a question that I thought would be interesting to see what people would say. And I believe that it is some place at Miguel's. Meadows,....if I had enough money fo...

Lost Nalgene

Can't seem to find my Nalgene from my last trip to the red. I think that it might be floating around Miguel's. It is a yellow Black Diamond with a black top. The top is broken and there is an old Red Chili sticker on it as well. If someone finds it at Miguel's or at a crag, then let me know. I...
