Re: red taging a PJ you didnt bolt

Re: red taging a PJ you didnt bolt

Yea, only one neon yellow nicros hold and a 4' by 4' pusher sloper. I also fixed a portaledge half way up paradise lost and downgraded it to 5.9+ and added two more slings to the anchor of Dracula because the three that were already there weren't enough.

Re: red taging a PJ you didnt bolt

What you described is exactly what I did, do you know a more extensive list of people getting on the route than I? What was agreed on is that it is fine to get on it as long as you know about the bad holds, just be careful, if you break one then let the others know about it. Can I not respond to ang...

Re: red taging a PJ you didnt bolt

The route was fine but last week someone broke a very key hold making the line considerably harder. Late last week another hold came halfway off, if it goes the route might never go. There are also 6 other holds that are dangerously close to coming off, it just needs to be glued before anyone else g...

Re: red taging a PJ you didnt bolt

It's not red tagged because it is closed or because someone is trying to claim it, it just needs some glue on it and everyone getting on it currently is aware of the situation. Don't worry, no one is trying to retro-red tag the route. They just want to ensure that it stays the awesome line that it i...

Re: Quickdraws on 'Zen and the Art of Masturbation'

I hung the draws on Zen but they originally belonged to Andrew Gearing so contact him if your trying to find who to give them back to. The draws have been there for four years now, not since last season, so it's no wonder they were in bad shape. When they were initially hung they were in good condit...

My guess is that he blew the 4th clip, which is right in the middle of the crux. If you do this ground potential is definitely an option no matter what anyone tells you. I've seen people come right above the belayer's head by falling without rope clipping slack out. It would be easy to slip off of t...
