Ride Needed from Southern Ontario, for Rocktoberfest

I'm really hoping to get down for Rocktoberfest (plus maybe a couple days before or after), but don't have a dependable car. I'm in Toronto, but could get myself to anywhere else in southern Ontario. If you're going and have room, let me know.

Re: Miss it

Just logged on for the first time in forever to see about mooching a ride down there for Rocktoberfest. Yup, I miss those old days.

3 months with tendinitis in my foot. In the next 2 months, I improved from doing two 5.7's in an evening to doing four climbs 5.9 and under. Then I sprained my ankle and was out for another 2 months. Took me a year to get decent mobility back in my foot/ankle. Three years later, I still don't redpoi...

When I wrote "book-learned" I had two former students in mind. They were both excellent at learning in a manner traditional to classrooms (reading, learning from lectures, etc). They were also very good at assessing what they did and didn't know, in written tests or classroom discussions. ...

It's an interesting idea to test risk assessment. But there are a lot of folks out there who are good at book-learning and judging what they do or don't know about book-learned things. Book-learning does not necessarily translate into active skills. And I'd argue this test does not necessarily trans...
