Re: Places to buy shoes (other than Miggy's)

Thanks for the advice. North Summit had a great selection (bought some new anasazi's, woo!). But I am always looking for new shoes and deals, so I'll give zappos a gander (never thought of looking there for climbing shoes).

Places to buy shoes (other than Miggy's)

Howdy all, So I'm on the search for new climbing shoes, and I've run into a small issue. I've always bought my shoes at Miggy's, but alas, I live in Philly now. REI has a crazy small collection, and I don't wanna order them from the internet just yet, because I want to try them on. Anyone have any i...

Cincy ride to Rocktoberfest

Hi all, I'm flying into town this weekend to celebrate Rocktoberfest, and I'm really trying to avoid having to rent a car (prices are ridiculous!). Anywho, anyone heading down to the Red Friday and returning Monday from Cincy? My flight gets in 4pm-ish Friday and leaves late Monday, so i could go ba...

Re: Miguel’s camping questions

Hey Rob,
As far as I know there shouldn't be an issue putting a tarp over your tent. I always find it helpful to ask no matter what though. As far as physical changes...things look extremely different, but I guess that's progress...or something. It's nice though, more tables, more bathrooms, etc...

I don't think minimizing waste (consuming less) is something only a DB does. I just think it's one of the habits they tend to have. You can minimize waste and not be a DB. My point is that I believe dirtbagging can be related to a person's mentality and not always attached to their current living si...

I ask this question. Can you be a dirtbagger and have a 401k? I spent my year with my masters, living in a tent, refusing to give in to what society expected. i.e. get a degree, get a job, start popping out babies, etc... I also had the greatest job ever, a waitress at Kathy's, making well below the...
