Re: Drone Filming - Yey? Ney?

My thought would be to ask everyone around you first and use it minimally. A test flight and then a few send attempts on a special is cool, but flying it up for every climber on every route all day would get annoying quick. Good luck with the shots!

Re: Found Canon EOS Rebel camera at Muir

That strikes me as strange too. Side note: When I was at muir last weekend I think I saw more DSLR cameras in one place than I have outside of professional sporting events. There were almost as many people taking photos/video as there were climbing. Don't get me wrong, my wife is a videographer and ...

Re: Selling Trad Rack

Hah, yeah. I plan on climbing more often actually, but I think I just realized there's more than enough sport climbing and bouldering to keep me busy when I do find the time to climb. But I do play and record music every day so I'm trying to help fund some new projects there.

Re: News re Muir Valley

I will never understand the general rudeness bordering on hate that some people seem to have for Muir Valley. I have always enjoyed climbing there and the couple of times I had the pleasure of meeting Rick and Liz were really great days (as an EE I really appreciated Rick showing me his radio equipm...

Re: Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow (Weather help)

As everyone said, spring is completely variable. A few years ago we spent spring break in RRG, drove in with 8 inches of snow on the ground, and by the end of the week we were wearing T-shirts. Very unpredictable. The Obed is likely to have pretty similar weather, although it might be a bit more lik...

Re: Miller Fork

The general process with the MRFP was/is to secure access, tell known route developers that it exists so that they can explore it and develop routes, enlist volunteers to build trails, and then publish each crag once the developers are ready. Publishing directions to the crags before the trails are...

Re: Problem with finger tendons

Does your finger feel jammed below the knuckle when bent? I experienced this about two months ago while getting back into harder (for me anyway) bouldering after a break. I kept climbing a few days a week while avoiding crimpy things, but the injury hung around for a and didn't go away until I took ...

Re: The ongoing weekend idiot report

I am thinking that every tickmark should have a note attached, explaining whether this is supposed to be a jug or a crimp, whether it is meant to be used as a gaston, sidepull or undercling, and which hand should go there. Oh, and also, instead of a tickmark the holds should be labeled with bracket...
