Re: New, Red, TN, Fosters, Etc.. Parter May..

Did you find any takers?

I'm thinking of heading down May 24 for the day.

I'm just getting back into the swing of things after other pursuits pulled me away for a few years. Would rather not lead harder than 5.10 sport or 5.8 trad for now.

Yeah, The line one can take on the first few bolts could easily comprise itself of multiple 5.10 moves if the climber can avoid the temptation of taking the super easy left side of the bolts. That first bolt is so high that stick clipping it might tight the edge off mentally since it would be a rath...

Yeah, I know a 5.10 that is crimpy would be really hard for me... Dynabolt just featured my strengths personally....Hopping on 5.10's just isn't as intimidating anymore after Dynabolt, and they will make me a more rounded climber, trying to progress...

I climb for the crux move. I climb because while backpacking, all of think of lately, is my last test I bombed on the physiology of the mitral valve and abnormal heart sounds; and while climbing all that I think of is the present moment, not the unfinished work I have to do. That being said, If I ha...

Dynabolt Gold ?

Has anyone climbed Dynabolt Gold? It's in Muir Valley at The Great Wall. It was my first 5.10 onsight and I was rather happy about it. I am curious if anyone disagrees with the 5.10a rating. I thought it was going to be a bit tougher. The huge plates are everywhere and it isn't spread very thin anyw...

I climbed Dynabolt Gold (10a) after checking it out while climbing Glory & Consequence5.7 and Limonite5.8 - Dynabolt was really easy for me for a 10a. I couldn't belive it. Really huge holds the whole way up, loads of fun and a HUGE confidence builder/booster - DO IT!!!

I saw this route listed in the new Guide book as a SPORT route, so I was confused, but I think it was just an error, since the new edition won't be released for another week. Hmmmmnnnn....
