When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. Speaking as a female, I have trained in the use of a gun (guns) and have my concealed weapons permit. As long as you know how and when to use them, they can be very useful as a deterrent. Never point your gun at someone that you are not willing to...

It's a running joke at my workplace - anytime somebody gets lost or falls off a cliff in a drunken stupor - "they must be from Ohio". I think some of the college/drinking crowd gives the other Ohio residents a bad name. I have family from Ohio who are great.

That's like saying people who want wine with a meal have to have the wine to enjoy the meal. Bad logic. No, if someone HAS to have beer in order to have fun, then there's a problem. You may want to have alcohol, but you still have to consider the locale and the rules, along with the opinions of the...

I live near the Gorge and have heard of too many injuries and fatalities when wilderness and alcohol are mixed. Alcohol does not have to equal fun - it's about as safe and mixing alcohol with boating (lots o' drownings). And who can judge which people can use it responsibly and which can't? The USFS...

Thanx!

Yes there was a small tree at the base of the climb, just left of the belay spot. OK, thanx very much guys, probably was Fadda.

Any word on how crowded it's going to be this week and/or weekend?

Maybe someone did bolt Motha - the description in R. Ellington's guide book for Motha and Fadda sure sounds like both the lines we were at the other day, except that the line that looks like Motha is bolted.

Thanks bunches for the feedback - happy climbing! :)

Maybe http://www.redriverclimbing.com/RRCGuideV2/show_route.php?id=1291 ? Really hard start up a cool feature, to easier climbing and kinda crap rock above? Wow. We would have been totally psyched if it had been Science Friction. Maybe in our dreams, though. We've been out of the woods a while and ...

Roadside route?

Hello, just climbed a bolted route that is 2 bolted routes to the left of Jump for Joy. Anybody know what this route is? My partner thinks maybe it's new? Wasn't sure if it was Fadda, but that's the closest I can figure from the guidebook.

Thanks for the info, we're just curious. :?
