Re: ReBolting the Mother Lode

First off I wanted to say thanks for all the hard work done by the volunteers at the Lode. The new bolts look great. I was curious about the status of the work. A few years ago I donated the money to rebolt the Madness but I don't think it's been worked on yet. Is this still an ongoing project? Than...

Newer Routes at the Chocolate Factory

I've been hearing about several newer routes that are on the right hand side of the C.F. They are supposed to be very good, steep and with lots of climbing. The ones that I've heard about are all mid-5.13 but there may be others? Is there a plan to put them in the new guide? Is info being delayed du...

Re: Most Heartbreaking Route

The true heartbreakers for me are ones that I've spent a lot of time and energy on the redpoint go, only to fall at the end. Shorter routes like Stunning don't stick in my head as much because I've only been climbing on the route for a couple of minutes before I send or fail. With that in mind, 2 ro...

Re: ReBolting the Mother Lode

Can we get a status update on this mega project? Did the cave routes get rebolted? I chipped in for the Madness, just curious if it's ready for me to start flailing on it.

Thanks for all the work, huge props!

Re: ReBolting the Mother Lode

I'll donate for the Madness. Maybe I can finally do it with good bolts!

Obed and Shade

I'm headed up to the Obed for Memorial day and am trying to find some shady areas with routes in the 5.12-13 range. I've climbed a lot at some areas already, being pretty much done with Y12, Stephen King, and most of Lily. Are any of the North Clear areas shady? What about the Obed River crags? I kn...

Re: Mount Charleston Beta

The Roost is good and seeps less than the Hood. Unless someone has written a new guidebook very recently, the published info on the Roost (and the Imagination Wall) is out of date as there are lots of new routes. There's a hand drawn topo floating around the web for the Roost that includes most of t...

Re: Red Rocks Trip this Spring- the Beta

Check out the Pier. A few easier routes and then s a bunch of 12s. Shade most of the day and usually has a breeze. The Sandbox is another area with some decent 5.12 climbing that's in the shade. Less easier routes but other cliffs are very close by.
