Re: Community Meeting - Nov 9th

Assuming a relatively high attendance rate, may I suggest that you look into having an experienced facilitator manage this meeting. This is clearly a contentious subject that taps into some deeper issues within the Red. Having a "referee" can greatly increase the productivity of such meeti...

Gear Failure at Military Wall

The bolt side biner of a Camp quickdraw failed at Military this past Friday. (The climber decked from the first bolt of Fuzzy but was not seriously injured.) We searched extensively but the "top" of the biner was never found. If anyone is in that area and finds about an inch and a half of ...

I think it's going to be hard to get people to pay more than $15 dollars to get in the door unless you find a way to seriously sweeten the pot and make $27 seem like a steal. I realize the venue increased overhead from previous years and that's why admission was so high, but hopefully by cutting bac...

Also Missing From Rocktoberfest

I loaned the coalition a pair of white poles to hang the Rocktoberfest Registration sign at the rest area, but when I came back to after the clinics to get them, they and the sign were gone. The poles belong to a volleyball set and are about 6 feet. tall. It's not a huge deal or anything, but if you...

WasatchGirl thanks for the update. I personally want to commend you for coming forward and setting the record straight. Climbers can be a pretty judgemental group sometimes and it took real courage for you to step up and give us the facts. Now other have the opportunity to learn from your mistakes. ...

I can happily confirm that PG's did get bought out. The store is now owned by the same gentleman who runs Benchmark in Cincinnati. We will be re-opening on Black Friday with new managment but many off the original staff. Hope to see you all there.

Putting Together a First Aid Kit

Prior my little accident I always believed there was nothing tape and some Vitamin A couldn't cure, but now I'm not so sure. What do you consider as essential in a good wilderness first aid kit? Besides an ER doc of course. [/i]
