Problem with the shovel idea is some people will use the shovel to cover up their poo and then, whoops, there is poop on the shovel. But I guess you can always bring your own. I'm thinking the pack it out solution sounds best and maybe some t-shirts and snazzy posters to get people more comfortable ...

If you stop at the local climbing gym in Flagstaff, you can buy some digital guidebooks to the bouldering areas. Mike and I will probably be stopping through there next week, when will you be there?

Try spraying it with a wax based lubricant. This should be done periodically to keep your zipper working smoothly... or thats what the gear repair guy in JTree told me.
